Whilst working with iconic idols like Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Bappi Lahiri, Laxmikant-Pyarelal and more, Alka Ji earned herself a record-breaking 36 nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer. That’s not it! Our “queen of playbacks” holds the record for 7 wins in the same category. Her first being for the timeless track, Ek Do Teen.
Apart from giving us ageless Bollywood classics, Alka Ji also created private albums with the likes of Javed Akhtar and Shankar Mahadevan. Continuing her versatile work even now, Alka Yagnik joined with the legendary A.R. Rahman and Arijit Singh to compose the super-hit, Agar Tum Saath Ho.
