How Sing! Offs became the biggest user-created contest on Sing!
By now, most of you have heard of the one-month long contest known as the Sing! Offs. Smule user Juan Gonzalez created it in an effort to foster more group collaboration. More than 1,200 participants participated in Sing! Offs, making it Smule’s biggest user-created contest thus far. Juan suggested that this number could double in the next competition – so stay tuned!
When I first joined Smule, I observed that the songs with the most interactions in them were songs that had many people join. This is one of the reasons Sing! groups come together. I love the challenge behind it, and I always try to encourage as many group songs as possible.
The difference between this competition and the others is that we are focusing on the group collaborations. While we are always innovating and thinking of ways to enhance the Sing! Offs, we take pride in the results of the hard work each team produces. We love to honor the groups that come together for this challenge.
