Testing Higher-Definition Video on Select Partner Artist Content

Our team is energized and excited about the opportunities to collaborate with you, and enhance your Smule experience through meaningful improvements in 2024.
With that in mind, we’re eager to share that we recently launched a test of higher-definition video on select Partner Artist content in Smule. HD video enhances the overall video quality, contributing to a more immersive, engaging experience. Our goal with this test is to better understand how the technology functions in a live environment before we determine next steps. At the moment, we’re testing with a limited number of artist performances. In addition to the noticeably crisp, clear visuals, you can identify the higher-definition content by the ‘HD’ label in the top left corner of the video, like the example below.
We plan to test this feature in various iterations and will keep you updated when we’re ready for a full rollout. We’re committed to providing premium tools that empower you to create exceptional musical content, and are looking forward to our future together.
